記憶の砂浜

コンセプトである「記憶の砂浜」は、病による記憶障害を抱えた父を持つ息子の心境からインスピレーションを得て、潮の満ち引きと共に変わりゆく砂浜の風景のメタファーとして、過去の思い出が静かに消え去り、現在の出来事がやがて記憶として薄れていく様子を示している。砂浜の情景は、ホールガーメント横編機を用いた可変的なプリーツデザインで表現され、記憶の曖昧さと儚さを表現した。記憶をイメージしたプリーツが織りなすラインは、ニット素材によって柔らかく流れるように変化し、記憶と砂の流動性を象徴している。

The concept of "Beach of Memory" is inspired by the emotions of a son with a father suffering from memory impairment due to illness. The metaphor of the changing landscape of a beach, with the ebb and flow of the tides, symbolizes how past memories quietly fade away, and present events eventually become distant memories. The imagery of the beach is expressed through a structured pleat design created with a whole garment knitting machine, embodying the ambiguity and fragility of memory. The pleats, which evoke memories, form lines that shift and flow softly in the knitted fabric, symbolizing the fluidity of both memory and sand.
