Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to stay home for the past couple of years, disconnecting ourselves from the outside world and also interacting less with people in real life.

In the year of 2024, we started to return to living our normal lives again as before the pandemic. Some of us would go visit families that live far away, while some would return to school or to work, restore the relationship with our friends and meeting more strangers. We would also come into contact with nature and appreciate lively backgraounds more than we ever did.

This is an era of 'Reconnection'.

I could relate this current era to cubism art, where objects that are once broken up and reassembled into a new beautiful art form.

With the influence of cubism art, I would like to express this era of 'reconnection'; with the warmth, the happiness to be able to go back to the lifestyle we used to have, and also a peculiar feeling we sometimes encounter when we find that the world we returned to has been changing, through prints, textiles and silhouettes of my work.
